A comprehensive platform that streamlines vehicle inspection and registration through AI-powered pre-inspection, digital booking, and smart appointment management.
Annual vehicle inspections are essential for completing vehicle registration, yet GCC countries lack a unified digital system that connects owners, traffic directorates, and private inspection centers. This study introduces Markabati-VS, an AI-powered mobile application that centralizes appointment booking, inspection tracking, and vehicle registration in one platform. The project follows an Agile-based SDLC and uses interviews, requirement questionnaires, system modeling (DFD, ERD), and usability evaluation. The results indicate that Markabati-VS effectively simplifies vehicle-related processes and achieved an excellent usability score of 95.85%.
Key measurable goals of the Markabati-VS project
Explore the vehicle inspections and registration phenomena.
Develop and evaluate an AI-based mobile application for vehicle services “Markabati-VS.”
Current vehicle inspection and registration processes face significant challenges that affect efficiency and user experience
Users spend excessive time waiting in queues at inspection centers due to the absence of appointment scheduling and inefficient process management.
Vehicle inspection, registration, and related services are scattered across multiple systems, forcing users to navigate different platforms.
Paper-based procedures and manual verification increase the risk of errors, delays, and operational inefficiencies.
The lack of a centralized booking system results in overcrowded inspection centers and poor resource utilization.
Users often struggle to find clear and reliable information about approved private inspection centers, including locations and working hours.
Many users are forced to repeat vehicle inspections due to minor, avoidable issues that could have been identified in advance.
Markabati-VS provides a comprehensive digital platform that addresses all challenges in the vehicle inspection and registration ecosystem
A single, integrated platform for all vehicle inspection, registration, and related services, eliminating the need to navigate multiple systems.
Advanced scheduling system that allows users to book inspection appointments at their preferred centers and times, reducing wait times.
Real-time tracking of inspection progress and results, providing complete transparency throughout the inspection process.
AI-powered preliminary inspection using computer vision to identify potential issues before formal inspection, increasing pass rates.
